Displacement ventilation has been applied on various projects to achieve comfort, better indoor environments as well as to reduce energy consumption. Displacement ventilation systems can provide benefits to standard ceiling height spaces when the application is applied correctly, especially benefiting spaces with high occupancy.
Displacement systems have been successfully installed in hundreds of schools and this webinar will cover the basics of displacement ventilation, the value it brings to the classroom application and how we can apply it to schools. We will also review a Net Zero school that used displacement ventilation as one of the strategies to achieve the Zero Energy Building status as defined by the Department of Energy.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to
- Identify and design when a displacement ventilation system is applicable for a space.
- Specify the contributions that displacement ventilation systems contribute towards a net zero projects
- Integrate displacement ventilations into other systems to create an optimal solution for the design and comfort of the occupants.
